“For this fifth Sunday celebrating Christ’s Resurrection, from the Bible we read citations about the New Covenant. We should try to understand it requires a durable commitment because going the distance is the only way to prove whether or not one has really responded to the divine gift of faith. Abraham shows us that the benefits anticipated by faith require dynamic personal response. Faith must mature as it did in our father Abraham. Even at age one hundred, Abraham maintained hope on God’s promise.”
